Orchid Show This Weekend

The show is being presented by the Aspen Branch and 15% of the proceeds will benefit the Aspen Historical Society. Orchids, terrariums, bromeliad gardens and demonstrations by the Aspen Branch's design team will fill each day from 10:30am to 6pm. For information, visit www.aspenbranch.com or

Literature Outloud

John Keleher will ready from "The Emperor of the Air" and Rett Harper will read from "Little Nightmares, Little Dreams." Both are part of this month's theme of "Voices of Experience." Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, these dramatic readings will enlighten a rainy Sunday afternoon. For information, call 970-429-1900.
Aspen Cycling Criterium
Submitted by Aspenskier on Sat, 05/18/2013 - 10:13The Aspen Cycling Festival continues tomorrow, Sunday May 19, with the Aspen Cycling Criterium. The Criterium race is held in the middle of downtown Aspen, on a .8-mile track with 10 sharp corners and speeds of up to 28 miles per hour. The racers streak around the corners as they lap the course. It's an exciting sight, so come down to watch and cheer on the riders.
